Irene Naa Torshie Addo, the Member of Parliament [NP] for Tema West Constituency, has said she has no veto powers to disqualify any aspirant willing to run against her.
Naa Torshie has been accused of instigating some eleven constituency executives to petition against Mr. Carlos Ahenkorah who intended contesting her for the MP’s slot.
Her reasons was that Carlos Ahenkorah failed to contribute to constituency activities over the years.
This and other reason is why Ms. Torshie Addo want to go unopposed in the upcoming parliamentary primaries.
But she has however debunked claims that she schemed for the reported disqualification of Mr. Carlos.
She explained that, the decision to disqualify the Chief Executive of Carlo King Freight Logistics was made by the vetting committee but not her.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Wednesday, concerning the allegation, the NPP MP stated “I was not part of the Vetting Committee and I don’t have the power to disqualify”
“I will go ahead and will win this seat again and again because of the God I serve,” she added
