The Minister of Power, Dr Kwabena Donko, has descended heavily on the organisers of the #DumsorMustStopVigil. He said this is simply �a publicity stunt by a bunch of so-called celebrities who have reached the end of their lacklustre and pitiful careers.�
�These people have too much time on their hands. And as you know, the devil finds work for the idle hands,� the minister said in an interview on an Accra-based radio station. He said that the actresses should be using their spare time to rehearse for their movies, instead of allowing the devil to influence them to do Akufo-Addo�s dirty job. He threatened that government will continue to ignore their demands until they start winning Oscars and Grammy awards.
�My brother, have you seen any of their movies?� he said in the interview, �It�s appalling! How can they expect the president to listen to them when they produce such movies? And that Sarkodie boy too, you can�t even hear what he says in his songs.�
He explained that the Mahama administration is a serious government, and only deals with people who put their hearts into what they do. �That is why when appointees in our government create and loot, they do so wholeheartedly!�
Meanwhile, his colleague, Hon Ebenezer Teye Larbi, MP for Lower Manya Krobo, has endorsed the statements of Dr Donkor. �The Better Ghana Agenda is on course,� said Hon Larbi. �If you�re a poor man, you�re not our co-equal. Don�t come and say Tweaa to us! Some people just want to make noise. Others are talking so you also want to talk. You don�t even have a TV at home. Even common bulb, you don�t have. What are you going to do with the electricity even if you get it?�
