All NPP Communicators Must Cease Fire Commenting On UE Chairman's Death Until... - Nana Akomea

Communications Director of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomea has implored his colleague communicators of the party across the country to wait for official statement from the party before passing further comments which will deepen cracks in the party.

He made this appeal when people from the party started speculating and pointing accusing fingers at some party officials said to be behind the acid attack on the deceased NPP Upper East Regional Chairman, Mahama Adam.

Speaking on Okay Fm’s "Ade Akye Abia" Morning Show, Nana Akomea pleaded with serial callers and communicators on radio stations to exercise constraint when passing comments on the demise of Mahama Adam, the Upper East NPP chairman.

He insisted it will be prudent if all the party communicators wait for official statement from the party before saying something concerning the dead as it might further deepen the already tension in the party.

“We will plead with party communicators across the country and the serial callers and every party sympathizer to exercise patience because the police are doing serious investigations into the case. We don’t know who is behind this attack until the investigation is over,” he pleaded.

“If you are a party member and a communicator, wait and allow the police to do their work and expect official statement from the party before we can say something about this case. This is our plea to all party faithfuls,” he added.

He was however hopeful that justice will be served as the police has arrested one of the suspects who attacked the Upper East Chairman, coupled with the fact that the chairman was able to mention two names before he passed away to eternity.
