NPP U/E Regional Chair Attacked To Incriminate Afoko And Kwabena Agyapong?

National Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams, believes the the attack on the NPP's Upper East Regional Chairman, Mahama Adams, which resulted in his untimely death, could have been initiated purposely to incriminate the opposition party's National Chairman and General Secretary.

Mahama Adam was attacked on Wednesday evening by two assailants who poured a coorosive substance believed to be acid on him. He died a few hours later as he was being prepared to be transferred from the Bolgatanga Central Hospital to Accra for further treatment.

The deceased had earlier been accused of being involved in the disruption of a meeting involving Paul Afoko and General Secretary Kwabena Agyapong in Bolgatanga.

The two National Executives were said to be touring some areas in the northern part of the country to meet and discuss party issues with members.

Commenting on this event in the NPP, Kofi Adams on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show said, he was convinced the acid which was poured on the late Chairman Adams could come from people who do not have the interest of Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong at heart.

To him, this kind of action can take place because the same Paul Afoko was severely beaten up at their party congress on the allegation that he was dishing out monies to delegates; “I can’t take this away from them but they should exclude the NDC in their internal conflict”.
