I Have Not Been Abandoned

Alhaji Issah Abass, who together with Kwabena Amaning, alias Tagor where released from prison on Saturday after the Accra Fast High Court Friday quashed their conviction following the famous MV Benjamin Cocaine saga, has refuted publications Monday, alleging he had said his wife deserted him in his trying moments. The Ghanaian Chronicle newspaper reported that, Alhaji Abass had in an interview he granted it, claimed his wife deserted him as soon as he was charged for the drug-related offences, and left for London with his three kids. He was quoted as saying �My brother, I don�t know whether or not she had divorced me, but she ignored me all this while, and left with my kids�. Reacting to the story in an interview with Citi News, he said �My wife and three children were all at home when I arrived so I don�t know where the newspaper got the story from. I have three of my children with me here and the remaining two are in the United States and United Kingdom respectively�.
