Kuntu Blankson Nearly Beaten At Ekumfi

Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Ekumfi, George Kuntu Blankson was nearly beaten by some angry party youth at Srafa Aboano in the Ekumfi Constituency.

They claim Kuntu who is seeking to be re-election to Parliament has flouted the party's ban on campaigns ahead of its parliamentary primaries. According to Nana Ackon of Oburumankuma FM, a taxi cab allegedly carrying supporters of the former MP was vandalized by the irate youth.

They noted that the clandestine nature with which Kuntu Blankson is seeking to unseat the incumbent MP will be resisted with all force. NDC Youth Organizer for Ekumfi Constituency, Nurudeen Otu corroborated the claims of the youth.

He said the action of Kuntu Blankson is causing disaffection among the rank and file of the party in the constituency. Nurudeen Otu said he fully supports the action taken by the youth to ensure everyone adhere to party rules.

Meanwhile, Kuntu Blankson expressed shock at the allegations being levelled against him.

He explained that some party members invited him for a meeting which he obliged and did not use that opportunity to campaign.

Kuntu Blankson said he did not see the irate youth because he was far away from where the supposed vandalism took place.
