Lawyer John Darko, the aspiring Member of Parliament for the Suame constituency in the Ashanti region says the character and leadership style of Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, flag-bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) makes him the best man to lead Ghana from this time onwards.
Speaking to GO moments after the flagbearer delivered his profound but calming statement on the apparent confusion and bickering that had rocked the NPP in recent times, the GIMPA lecturer and politician said “the country needs Nana Addo now.”
According to him, Ghana is very ripe for a Nana Addo presidency to ensure he re-writes the underdevelopment scripts the Mahama administration seems to have put out there for the past six years.
He noted that the country needs such a calming but decisive leader to rise up to every challenge that confronts the country at every material moment and time.
Speaking with extreme confidence in party’s 2016 flagbearer, Lawyer Darko, the toast of the youth and the middle-aged in Suame minced no words in describing the NPP leader as a “visionary and decisive” leader.
It would be recalled that the NPP for about two weeks now had been in turmoil which threatened a break up in its front following an unfortunate sequence of things owing to an internal power strife culminating in the sudden death of the former Upper-East NPP chairman, Adams Mahama.
But the dust from the ’evil’ that seem to have inflicted the party was doused by a well-crafted and delivered statement by the party’s flag-bearer, Nana-Addo who has called for a ceasefire in the bickering that had found its way into the party.
The flag-bearer rallied all members to close their ranks and support the party in its only agenda which is to win the 2016 general elections.
He also called on party security officers to ensure the offices of the party chairman and general secretary respectively are opened for party business to continue.
