Hon. Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko, Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon has appealed to the rank and file of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to immediately bury the hatchet once the flagbearer has spoken.

Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Hon. Kyeremateng Agyarko told host Kwami Sefa Kayi that the NPP as a party should cease fire and ensure that they form one formidable force to prosecute the agenda of ousting the ruling National Democratic Congress from power, come 2016.

According to him, the party leadership, members and supporters should heed the call by the party flagbearer Nana Akufo Addo and end the acrimony that characterized activities at the hierarchy, resulting from the sudden demise of one of the leading members of the party.

Hon. Kyeremateng Agyarko appealed to the conscience of any member who respects the NPP, "everybody who respects the leader of the party; everyone who listens to him and seeks the welfare of the party shouldn’t talk about the issue anymore. The flagbearer of the party has intervened and so, I think we should bury the hatchet.”

To him, the NPP must bounce back into its elements and reorganize itself for victory.

“We can’t use a knife to resolve any issue…We join a church because of our belief. We join a party because of our belief. It doesn’t mean we will all be friends. It doesn’t mean we will embrace one another…We believe in what the party stands for. We believe it’s this party that can work hard. We proved during the regimes of Professor Busia and President Kufour. We’ve proven to be competent governors of the nation…We’re on the same side.”
