Group Call On Wontumi To Adopt Upper East Regional Branch Of NPP

A youth group, made up of New Patriotic Party activists from the Upper East Region, have addressed a letter to the Ashanti Regional Chariman of the party, calling on him to fill the void their former late chairman left behind.

They have asked him to play a role of a father and adopt the region since they believe his active involvement in politics would benefit the area.

Read below a copy of their petition to Mr. Antwi-Boasiako.

We wish to use your highest offices of the party to appeal to the Ashanti Regional Chairman, Mr. Antwi-Boasiako to adopt and help the Upper East regional branch of the NPP.

When we lost our irreplaceable chairman, we thought all have been taken away from us as a party since the late chairman Adams has been the sole financier of the party in this region. It's been difficult to move on without our late chairman, but, we have to do so without him since we know his greatest desire before he died was for us to win power in 2016.

Of this, it's imperative of us to honour that strong wish of our late chairman as a youth wing. We know we have lost an irreplaceable figure, but on a broader analysis, we know his closest friend 'Wotumi' can fill some of the huge gap chairman Adams left for us as a region.

We believe Chairman 'Wotumi' would be a consolation to us as a party and a region. We believe the active involvement of chairman 'Wotumi' in the political activities of the region would help in the sense that:

Chairman Wotumi' has become a part of the upper east through the closest relationship he shared with our late chairman. Although we would miss our late chairman, the continual relationship chairman 'Wotumi' shares with us will go a long way to help rejuvenate us.

'Seeing chairman Wotumi, would be as seeing our late chairman Adams and that can be a recipe or an ingredient to help motivate us in our quest to win power to honour the greatest desire and memory of our late Chairman.

We believe chairman 'Wotumi' can accomplish some of the desires, plans and programs of our late chairman, since he shared a close relationship with him. In that regard, we trust, he would be in the best of position to execute most of the plans and programs our late chairman would have accomplished before he died.

It must be noted very well that, we do not want to say, Chairman Wotumi' should take over chairman Adams' position, but, rather, he should not leave us as a region, he should stay with us and help us as much as our late chairman would have done.

We hope and pray our request would be given the consideration it merits

Thank you
