The Zongo Caucus of the National Democracy Congress (NDC) has congratulated the party on its 23rd Anniversary celebration.

A statement signed by Alhaji Yussif Captain, National Co-ordinator of the Caucus on Thursday and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra said:”We the zongo caucus of the NDC wishes to convey our sincerest appreciation and gratitude to the founders and every member and sympathisers of the party for their hard work.”

The statement said the hard work of the members of the party has brought the NDC this far and “we must appreciate with prayers and thanksgiving to God Almighty”.

It said the zongo caucus is ready to continue working hard for the party to win all votes in zongo communities nationwide in the 2016 elections.

The statement said: “We the zongo caucus expresses our enormous appreciation to the government… and the NDC for lifting up Ghanaians to this far, which they deserve and merit by all standards.”

It acknowledged the good living conditions of Ghanaians as a result of the hard work, sense of humility and patience of President John Dramani Mahama.

The statement said the party should ensure unity, stability, growth, and love and in so doing it could win Election 2016 to continue with its good works.

It prayed that “Allah the almighty guide and protect President Mahama to perform his duties diligently, efficiently and effectively in order to actualise and facilitate the Better Ghana Agenda of the NDC government.”
