Delegates Promise To Elect Mavis Boadu As Next MP For Afigya Sekyere East

Mavis Nkansah Boadu is set to be the next Member of Parliament for the Afigya Sekyere East constituency, going by what some delegates have informed Peacefmonline.com.

On Saturday, June 13, 2015, several aspirants and delegates of the New Patriotic Party will be taking part in parliamentary primaries.

Towards the 2016 general elections, the parliamentary primaries become the last of the NPP’s necessary internal party contests. For this reason, the flagbearer for the party, Nana Akufo Addo, has advised delegates to elect “winnable candidates who can win their seats and help deliver an NPP majority in the next Parliament.”

It is on this note that Peacefmonline.com spoke to some delegates from the Afigya Sekyere East constituency seeking their opinion on who wins tomorrow’s election in thier area.

Majority of them disclosed to us that they would be giving their vote to Mavis Nkansah Boadu since she is the perfect legislator to replace incumbent MP, Hennric Yeboah .

It would be recalled that during her vetting process, Mavis Nkansah Boadu managed to point out the shortfalls of the party in the area and touched on how as a legislator, she would turn things around by increasing the party’s votes in the area.

Mavis Nkansah Boadu ended up receiving massive commendation from D.D Djabeng, a member of the vetting committee and an NPP Council of Elder together with Hon. S.K. Boafo, chairman for the vetting committee for Zone 1 in the Ashanti Region, for being able to explain to them how she plans on winning more votes for the party in the constituency.
