I Worked Hard To Retain Dome Kwabenya Seat Adwoa Safo

The Member of Parliament for the Dome Kwabenya constituency  in the Greater Accra region Adjoa Sarfo, has attributed her victory in the NPP constituency primaries to her hard work in parliament.

The first term MP beat off competition from contender Isaac Amofa despite some confusion which delayed the elections by obtaining 587 votes as against his 249 votes.

Speaking to Citi News, Adjoa Sarfo said she will bring members of the party together to ensure large margin victory come the 2016 elections.

“My constituency is a very loaded constituency and we are going to make sure that we are able to win in the 2016 elections…I believe that when the people believe that we can work together , margins can even increase”

The NPP held its elections last Saturday to elect Members of Parliament who will represent the party in the 2016 elections.

About 24 incumbent Members of Parliament of the party lost their bid  in the polls.

They include six female MPs and 19 male MPs.

Some of them include Dr. Richard Anane of Nhyiaeso Constituency, Dr. Afriyie Akoto of Kwadaso and former presidential aspirant, Francis Addai-Nimoh (Mampong Constituency).
