Sir John Needs Spiritual Deliverance... "He Talks By Heart

A former General Secretary for the New Patriotic Party, Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, appears to have incurred the wrath of some party stalwarts after claiming that delegates in the Kwabre East Constituency voted for Francisca Oteng-Mensah because they might have been largely influenced with money.

The Ashanti Women’s Youth (AWY), angered by Owusu Afriyie's assertions, have lashed out at the former NPP NEC Member describing his claims as “unfounded”.

They believe Mr. Owusu-Afriyie would not have made those comment if he had fathered the young lady who is on course to make history in Ghana.

From afar, the group believe their former General Secretary is suffering from an illness which makes him “talk by heart” and needs to be cured immediately through spiritual deliverance.

They believe such unsubstantiated statements from their former General Secretary, did not inure to the benefit of the opposition party in the 2012 general elections; and reduced him to public ridicule when he had to appear before the Supreme Court judges on national television.

Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie popularly known as Sir John, questioned the marketability of the 22 year old Oteng-Mensah after she obtained 331 to beat the incumbent MP who got 189 votes.

In an interview with Peacefmonline.com, the leader of AWY, Akosua Brenya said she is dismayed at Sir John's conduct.

She accused Sir John ofbeing the one who tried to lure delegates with money in Tamale when he wanted to retain his position as General Secretary. They warned him not to assume the sins he committed sometime ago still has a place in the New Patriotic Party.  “Sir John needs spiritual deliverance, he is a grown-up but talks by heart”, she said.
