The New Patriotic Party is conducting primaries in the Talensi constituency of the East Region to elect a candidate to represent the party in a by- election scheduled for the July 7, 2015.
The by-election follows the enskinment the MP, Robert Nachinab Doameng Masore as the Paramount chief of the Tongo traditional area and his subsequent resignation from parliament.
Four people are vying for the NPP slot; Mr. Thomas Pearson Wuni, a 51-year old accountant at the Nsawam Government Hospital and a graduate of the GIMPA Law School.
The two are Mr. William Zoogah 50 years and also an accountant and Mr. Robert Ayinaba , 42 years old and a staff of World Vision.
In all 418 delegates are voting in the elections and voting is expected to end at 3pm.
