NDC Launches Agenda 50-50 In the Eastern region

The National Democratic Congress [NDC] is convinced the electoral fortunes of the 2016 general elections will fall to it in the Eastern region.

In its bid to make a claim a reality, the party on Saturday moved to garner more votes with the official launch of its much anticipated electoral objective for the next general election dubbed agenda 50/50.

The program code- named, ‘kyem P3’, according to the officials of the party is to claim majority of valid votes cast in the Eastern region which has for the past elections gone in favor of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Addressing dozens of NDC sympathizers in Suhum during the launch, the party’s National Organizer, Kofi Adams assured of massive developmental project to be embarked on in the region by the government.

He said a recent admission from certain quarters about government’s development drive in the region is enough grounds for the 50/50 claims.

Explaining how the NDC will make the claim a possibility, Eastern regional secretary Mark-Oliver Kevor stated that the party is seeking to win about eight more parliamentary seats in addition to the seven it currently has.

This when achieved, he said will correspond to the number of popular votes the party has recorded in the recent elections.
