NDC's Agenda 50/50 Is A Mirage - Ama Dokua

The newly elected Parliamentary candidate for the Akropong Constituency on the ticket of the New Patritotic Party (NPP), Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah Adjei has pooh poohed the NDC's agenda 50/50 in the Eastern Region.

Speaking to Peacefmonline.com from her Akropong residence, the eloquent and vibrant woman wondered how the NDC will ever think of grabbing 50% of the votes in a region that has lost touch and seen total neglect with the Mahama-led government.

She quizzed why it had to take an election year approaching before the NDC could attend to a major road that connects the capital to the rest of the country having left the project for all this while.

She posited that "let not the government of the day think that it can take the good people of the Eastern Region for granted and hence resorting to the use of last minute rushed projects to show us as though they care".

"We are wild awake and know those who truly cares," she added.

"Business men and women from our region are today crying because of the sharp decline of our cedi and the rising cost of doing business as lending rates are not attractive like what we experienced under President John Agyekum Kufour," the potential young legislator disclosed.

She charged the NDC to concentrate on supplying constant electricity to every home and business, and get our economy back on track instead of the unachievable Agenda 50/50.

"It is mind boggling for the non-performing NDC party to dream of annexing 50% in our region," Nana Dokua said.

"It is a mirage".

She said "the Ghanaian people are fed up with the incompetence, corruption and bad governance of the NDC and are eagerly waiting for the NPP and our flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo to redeem the country from this hardship"

She used the opportunity to thank the people of Akropong and called on the party to be united for victory in 2016.

Nana Ama Dokua, was recently elected in the NPP Parliamentary primaries that saw over 30% youth being selected to lead the party to election 2016.

The ruling NDC over the weekend launched "Agenda 50/50 - Operation Kyempe" at Suhum in the Eastern Region where the flagbearer of the opposition NPP hails.
