I Regret Criticizing Late Prez Mills...Mahama's Govt Stinks - Sammy Awuku

National Youth Organizer of the main opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP], Sammy Awuku has apologised for criticizing late President John Evans Atta Mills’s style of governance.

Sometimes I feel bad for the way I criticized Prof. Mills. I demanded better governance from him but what we are experiencing now stinks,” he said.

To him, Professor Mills' tenure was far better than his successor John Dramani Mahama – “The quality of Mills's leadership is something Mahama would struggle to reach”.

Speaking on Accra-based Kasapa FM, Sammy described President Mahama as the worst president in the annals of Ghana’s political history.

Mahama is worst. He has failed, it’s sad what we are going through now. We’ve spent over 800 million cedis alone on GYEEDA. That is just one of many policies that we’ve wasted state resources on,” he said.

The NPP youth leader however cynically lauded the Mahama-led government for their inconsistence - “The only consistent thing about this government is that they’ve become inconsistent.”
