Kwabena Agyapong Gets Ready For NPPs Invincible Forces

The embattled General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Agyapong, is perhaps bracing himself up health-wise in readiness for a showdown with the fiercest group of the party, “Invincible Forces”, when they make themselves “visible” again to terrorize him and National Chairman, Paul Afoko.

Last Thursday, pictures of the embattled NPP chief scribe went viral on social media with him wearing jogging gear, clearly indicating he was keeping fit in this time of party turmoil.

Mr. Agyapong, was visited at his residence by one of the stalwarts of the party; the octogenarian former Senior Minister and former Member of Parliament (MP) for Sunyani West in the Brong Ahafo Region, Mr J.H. Mensah.

According to reports, J.H Mensah, visited the General Secretary after his usual jogging activities around the plush East Legon area, where he lives to have a chat.

In the picture, Mr. Agyapong, was also seen wearing a reflective jersey with a black short and a red white and black coloured snickers.

The “Invincible Forces”, controlled by Captain Kodah, the head of the security detail of the flagbearer, Nan Addo Dankwa Akufo –Addo, have on several occasions in the last six months, denied Messrs, Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong, access to their offices at the party’s head office in Asylum Down.

The Invincible Forces, vowed not to allow the two access to the party premises, following the death of the Upper East Regional Chairman, Adam Mahama, who was buried a couple of days ago in Bolgatanga, after he was attacked with a highly corrosive substance suspected to be acid, while driving home.

The last time, the “Invincible Forces” made themselves visible, they descended on the two when they attempted changing security detail in the party office. They had to quickly call for backup from the Nima Police Divisional command to come and restore law and order, while he locked himself up in his door- armoured office.

The Invincible forces, later rescinded their decision after the intervention of the presidential candidate, Nana Addo, at a press conference calling for an “interim” truce at the party’s head office.

In the other pictures posted on the social media platform, the besieged Mr. Agyapong, was seen putting a cap on the head of the former Senior Minister for the cameras to capture.

Family sources say, the jogging exercise, is helping the beleaguered NPP General Secretary lose some weight; a very good purpose of making him lighter in case of any eventuality engineered by the “Invisible Forces”.

The once handsome Mr. Agyapong, has in recent times been seen keeping a potbelly, aside having put on lots of weight.
