Nii Lantey Vaanderpuije Must Stop The Infantile Politics - NPP MP Aspirant

Newly elected New Patriotic Party [NPP] parliamentary candidate for the Odododiodoo constituency, Nii Lantey Banaman has described NDC MP, Nii Lantey Vanderpuije's claims that the NPP is responsible for demonstrations staged by the displaced settlers of Sodom and Gomorrah as “rubbish”.

According to him, his claims is nothing but to cause political insurgence in the constituency – “That will not happen”.

Slum inhabitants at Old Fadama [Sodom and Gomorrah] were on rampage Monday after city authorities demolished their structures.

The furious demonstrators destroyed three police vehicles and a motorbike and managed to besiege the State House.

Even though the slum President, Philip Kumah has debunked claims the NPP is behind their actions, Odododiodio MP, Nii Lantey Vanderpuije insists that the NPP played a role in the demonstrations.

The NDC MP categorically said – “It is irresponsible for the NPP to take advantage of the demonstration to score cheap political point. Yes I have no problem with the people demonstrating... It's their right. I am saying that it is irresponsible to take advantage of it, clad in NPP T-shirts, give them flags and be shouting Nana Addo's name."

Adding that - "The NPP is giving excuse that their office was demolished...yes I agree but three of my sheds were also demolished."

However, speaking on OKAY FM’s "Ade Akye Abia" morning show, Nii Lantey Barnaman maintained that his opponent is - “doing cheap politics”..

“I am not ready for any infantile politics…Nii Lantey Vanderpuije must stop that,” he warned.
