Prez Mahama To Visit Brong Ahafo Region, Thursday

President John Dramani Mahama will Thursday begin a two-day working visit to the Brong Ahafo.

As part of activities, President Mahama will inspect some ongoing projects and commission completed ones.

A statement from the Flagstaff House said the President will inaugurate a new water system at Fetentaa near Berekum, inspect work on a completed polyclinic project at Wamfie in the Dormaa East District and inaugurate a new water system at Dadiesoaba in the Asutifi South District.

On Friday, the President will inaugurate a new water facility at Kajeji in the Sene East District, inspect ongoing road works at Kwame Danso in the Sene West District and a completed polyclinic project at Bomaa in the Tano North District.

The Brong Ahafo visit follows a two-regional tour he undertook last week to the Eastern and Ashanti Regions.

While in the Eastern and Ashanti regions last week, President Mahama signaled he was going to make periodic visits to the regions to acquaint himself with the progress of development projects being undertaking in the communities to better the lives of the people.

In the two regions he cut the sod for the beginning of work on the cocoa road rehabilitation programme.

A number of cocoa roads are being rehabilitated under the programme with funds from the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD).

He also inspected ongoing construction work of the Tepa District hospital and inaugurated a multi-purpose recreational centre in Kumasi.
