She started her allegations as a mere saying with a slightly thrashed face on social media [Facebook] but she wasn’t specific who her wrongdoer was even though she gave a hint how popularly the person is in Ghana.

The lady goes by the name “Betty Hipsy” on Facebook but born “Betty Kessewaa” – the ‘well-endowed backside’ lady claimed that her battered face was as a result of a heated spat between herself and the founder and leader of Glorious Word Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah.

According to her, the famous man of God issued a threat on her life after pummeling her.

“See how pastor Owuse Bampah [Rev. Owusu Bemoah] who called himself man of God has beaten me yestnight [last night] and said he is given me one month and see if I will live, the world is my witness,” she posted on Facebook. 

Revealing more on what happened, Betty Hipsy noted that, Rev. Owusu Bempah after forcing her to terminate a pregnancy he is responsible for, started ignoring her anytime she approached him as a lover.

“Was pregnant for him [Rev. Owusu Bempah] and he asked me to abort it and I did after that he was ignoring me so went to see him yestnight [last night] and saw him with another girl so we were exchanging words and he started beating me,” she posted that on Facebook on Wednesday June 24, 2015 at 2:32pm.

Betty finally posted a side picture of the renowned prophet with the inscription – “He calls himself man of God see how he beat me after letting me abort his baby and saw him with another girl in his house”.

Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah’s version

In an interview with Peacefmonline.com, Rev. Owusu Bempah denied ever knowing the lady – “I have never set my eyes on her. Someone sent me her picture today. I am really shocked”. 

He told Peacefmonline.com that the allegation is a plot from some unknown extortionists to tarnish his reputation.

“I had a call somewhere last week. The person just mentioned my name, asking who I was talking to, he refused to tell me so I insisted I’ll not have any conversation with him. He quickly mentioned that I always give false prophecy about Nana Addo so he’ll stain my reputation – I hanged-up because I realized he wanted to insult me,” he said. 

“Another number called me demanding 100 million old Ghana cedis from me [GHC10, 000.00]. The person ordered me to bring the money ‘physical cash’ to Jokers [Night Club] around 10pm or else he will expose me to public ridicule. There have been occasions where spies have tracked me to my house as well,” he added

According to him, he was only informed about the Betty Hipsy’s allegations on social media by a family member – “The lady [Betty] claimed she came to my house a night before so that was Tuesday night right? That Tuesday night I was at church. I left the church around 8:30pm to 9:00pm. I am not the only person home…I live with other family members”. 

Rev. Owusu Bempah further questioned – “What time did she [Betty Hipsy] come to the house and what time did I beat her?”

The renowned prophet maintained that – “I have never set my eyes on that girl and I don’t know her anywhere…I don’t know her anywhere. She downloaded my picture on the internet and is using that on her Facebook wall”. 

He told Peacefmonline.com that he is yet to lodge a formal complaint to the police – “I am yet to report the case to the police…I don’t even know which police station to go but I will do that at East Legon”.
