A member of the Ghana Football Association Kofi Manu, has alledged that the Ghana FA President refused a $1million inducement from fixers to throw the last match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier in favour of the Pharaoh's.

Manu, a long-term constituent of the Ghana FA has revealed that there were plots by Egypt to grease the palms of the Ghana Football Association boss with a whooping $1million for the Ghanaians to play a fixed game against Bob Bradley's side.

In a damning allegation on Asempa FM, Kofi Manu demanded that Ghanaians show appreciation to Kwesi Nyantakyi for choosing national pride at the expense of personal gains.

"Kwesi Nyantakyi had the opportunity to take $1million in Egypt...he refused to take", Manu fumed.

"I'm not mincing words, I say Kwesi Nyantakyi had the opportunity to take $1million dollars in Egypt and give away that home match to the Egyptians",

"I won't tell you who wanted to pay but you can also understand".

"Unlike some people who went to Nigeria to take a bribe of $25,000 to throw away a world cup match in favour of Nigeria but Kwesi Nyantaki looked at the national pride and ego of Ghana and refused $1million bribe",

"How many people can refuse $1million dollar"? He quizzed.

Ghana defeated Egypt 6-1 the first leg of the qualifier in Kumasi. But a return at the Cairo Military stadium was the centre of the alledged fixing claims as Egypt was muddled in political tension and required a relief.
