Two people have lost their lives after a building collapsed on them during a heavy downpour at Esienimpong in the Ejisu Juabeng Municipality. 

Two people were also injured in the course and are receiving treatment at the Ejisu Government hospital

Narrating the story to Metro Fm, an eyewitness Adwoa Mary said the deceased and her family was seeking shelter during the rain when they finally met their untimely death.

“The house of Amalia is very old so when the wind got stronger, she decided to run to a neighbor’s house but unfortunately when she reached the building all we heard was a sudden strong unusual voice, by the time we got here, she was already dead” she added

The Assembly Member of the area Oduro Aaron also disclosed his outfit ordered owners of the house to pull it down due to it nature but generated into a squabble between him and the family.

The lifeless bodies of a mother and a 5-year-old girl have since been deposited at the hospital mortuary awaiting autopsy whiles Police commence preliminary investigation into the matter.
