Jonathan Mensah: I Am Enjoying Defensive Partnership With John Boye

Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah says he is enjoying the defensive partnership with compatriot John Boye.

Mensah together with Boye in recent times have become a perfect pair at the back for the Black Stars.

The two guarded the back for the Stars at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Equatorial Guinea where the team won silver after losing on penalties to Cote d’ Ivoire.

The Evian TG defender is however taking pleasure in the backline partnership with Boye.

“If we look at our previous games starting from the Africa Cup of Nations, I think we are improving. Me and John Boye couple of months ago so I think we are blending now,” he spoke to Metro TV.

“We conceded only three goals in the Africa Cup and with the last game that we played we won 7-1. So I think is not that bad and we are happy with that.”

The 24-year-old has been consistent at the back since making his debut appearance for the Black Stars in 2010 going on to feature at two World Cup finals and three Cup of Nations appearances.
