'You Dont Reduce Politics To Childishness' J B Reprimands Koku Anyidoho

The National Organiser of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu has hit back at the Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho for alleging that the attack on Freddie Blay were staged by loyalists of Paul Afoko, National Chairman of the NPP.

Freddie Blay, Kwabena Abankwa-Yeboah, national treasurer of the NPP; and former deputy minister for youth and sports in the Kufuor administration and Rashid Bawa, all claimed to have been beaten up by Azorka Boys, a youth group affiliated to the NDC, during the just ended election at Talensi.

Abankwa-Yeboah and Bawa have accused the Interior Minister, Mark Woyongo of being behind those attacks.

Subsequently in an interview with United Television (Utv), Koku Anyidoho dismissed allegations that some youths of the NDC were involved in the attack.

According to him, investigations he carried out revealed that it was youths loyal to NPP National Chairman, Paul Afoko, who attacked Mr Blay and his team.

However, John Boadu who was also in Talensi to monitor the election expressed disappointment at Koku Anyidoho’s comments saying “You don’t reduce politics to childishness”.

Generally, we are happy with the elections…the vigilance was high and if we are able to maintain how we conducted ourselves during this by-election, we can win 2016 election,” he added during an interview on PEACE FM's morning show ‘Kokrokoo’.
