Winner of the Talensi by-election, B.T Baba says he has no time to waste to work and transform Talensi and its people.

The newly elected Member of Parliament noted that his main objective is to develop the area – B.T Baba was very optimistic that his leadership in the constituency will bring about development gains in Talensi.

“I have the confidence and support of the people as the new MP for Talensi; what is left now is to focus on working to improve the lives of my constituents. I have no time to waste on this,” he said in an interview with Accra-based Kasapa FM. 

Adding that - "I am ready to hit the grounds running because there is no time for me. I will do everything possible within my might to justify the confidence reposed in me by the people”. 

B.T Baba won the by-election by 10,366 of the total valid vote cast, representing 42.31% – he will replace NPP’s Robert Nachinab Doameng Mosore who resigned the seat for a chieftaincy position.

The tensed election was characterized by some pockets of violence and chaos.
