Ghana Up 25th In Latest FIFA Ranking

Ghana have risen to 25th spot in the latest FIFA rankings which have been released by the world football governing body.

It is a massive jump up the table by nine places from the 34th spot the country fell to last month after gaining 27 points to add to the 800 of last month.

The Black Stars beat Mauritius by a massive 7-1 scoreline in June as the qualifiers to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations kicked off.

Avram Grant's men also defeated neighbours, Togo 1-0 in a warm-up friendly few days before the game against Mauritius.

Ghana also jump up to third in Africa, overtaking Tunisia who had usurped the Black Stars into the position last month.

Algeria remains Africa's top ranked side after also moving up two places to 19th in the world, followed by Ivory Coast who are now 21st in the world after gaining three places up.
