Referees Have Not Been Fair To Olympics - Godwin Attram

Captain of the wonder club, Accra Great Olympics and former Black Stars midfielder, Godwin Attram is blaming the club’s downfall to bad officiating in the ongoing premier league.

Relegation threatening Olympics are lying bottom on the league table.

According to the captain, officiating has not been fair to the club as Olympics lost to Inter Allies because of bad officiating.

Referee Patrick Kyeremanteng, was the center man when Inter Allies beat Olympics by a lone goal.

“Officiating has been bad against Olympics, anytime we play home or away we receive the same attitude from match officials...I don’t think with the way Olympics played against Inter Allies, they deserved to win.

“We played all the game but officiating against us was not the best...it happened to us against Edubiase and Kotoko...Olele had to save a last minute penalty otherwise, we would have lost that game too,” he said.

“If Ghana football will improve especially in the ongoing premier league, then something ought to be done about officiating,” he added.

He described officiating as embarrassing.

Godwin Attram assured all Gt. Olympics fans to rally behind the club in times like this and urged all that the club will avoid relegation. He is confident Olympics will escape relegation.

“We still have some couple of games to play and if officiating officials will be fair, no team in the league can beat Olympics again,” he said.

Olympics are 15th on the league table after 21 matches of the First Capital Plus Premier League.

They next play Bechem United at the Accra Sports Stadium.
