NPP Is Now Run By A Shadow Chairman And Gabby As General Sec...

Communication team member of the ruling National Democratic Congress [NDC], Agbesi Nutsu has described the opposition NPP as “unserious” with their aim to recapture power from the NDC in 2016.

He questioned how the NPP is going to manage the affairs of the country since they are not even capable of managing their own affairs.

In a panel discussion on NEAT FM’s morning show "Ghana Montie", Agbesi Nutsu alleged that the NPP is currently without a chairman and general secretary forcing its first national vice chairman to act as chairman with the Executive Director of the Danquah Institute as the general secretary.

“Freddy Blay is now acting as a shadow chairman and his general secretary is Gabby Asare Otchere Darko. We saw them in Talensi and the roles they played. Such a confused party can never rule Ghana,” he said.

The opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP] is chaired by Paul Afoko with Kwabena Agyapong as the party’s General Secretary.

The duo together with their other executives after assuming office vowed to strengthen the party – they also aimed at winning election 2016 with Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as flagbearer.

Ever since, the NPP has been hit with some serious internal wrangling – Chairman Afoko and chief scribe, Kwabena Agyapong having been accused of the unfortunate happenings.

The two in recent times have absented themselves from the party’s crucial public events mostly in the Northern part of the country after being tagged of masterminding the acidic bath of Upper East NPP chairman, Adams Mahama leading to his death.
