Stop Preaching Doom For Ghana - Sheikh Saeed Abubakari Zakaria

The Spiritual Head and Leader of the Ambarriyah Sunni Community, Sheikh Saeed Abubakari Zakaria has urged Muslims to live according to the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad.

He said Muslims should live exemplary lives and avoid acts that society and the religion abhors.

Sheikh Saeed was speaking at the end of this year’s Ramadan Tafsir at the Ambarriyah Mosque in Tamale on Tuesday.

Tafsir is the Arabic word for the interpretation of the Holy Quran and is usually organized during the month of Ramadan to remind and teach Muslims about the teachings and practices of the Holy Quran and Prophet Muhammad.

Hundreds of Muslims gathered at the mosque for the last sermon of this year’s Tafsir at the Ambarriyah mosque and was carried live on Radio Justice.

Preaching Doom
Sheikh Saeed also urged the Muslim Ummah to avoid politics of insults and preaching doom for the nation, saying that as citizens living in the country, it will be unislamic for one to pray for the collapse of the nation.

Education
Sheikh Saeed who is also the Director of the Ambarriyah Education Unit announced plans to establish a University with campuses scattered across the country.

This he noted will provide quality circular and Islamic education to the Muslim community and Ghana at large.

He recalled the gains Ambarriyah has made over the years, saying that the institute has evolved from providing Islamic education to providing quality circular education to the Muslim Community.
