Jordan Ayew Not Joining Dortmund

Les Merlus have insisted that the Ghana striker remains their player amidst intense transfer speculation. FC Lorient have insisted that Jordan Ayew has not signed a contract with another club despite rumours that the Ghana hitman has agreed a deal with Borussia Dortmund. Responding to reports that the Black Star was moving to the Bundesliga, the Merlus issued a statement on their official website insisting that Jordan was still on their books. "Jordan Ayew has not signed a contract with Borussia Dortmund, nor with any other club, the official announcement began. "The Ghana international striker was present Thursday morning in training with his team-mates of Lorient." Rumours suggested that Ayew had already agreed a deal with German giants Dortmundwho featured in the final of the 2013 Champions Leagueand while no agreement has been made, it remains to be seen if the Bundesliga heavyweights will move for the forward. Ayew may be an able replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal. However, should BVB wish to snare the 23-year-old they may need to see off competition from Girondins de Bordeaux and LOSC Lille, both of whom have been linked to the forwards signature. Jordan managed 12 goals in the French top flight last season, making him the second-highest scorer of all the players in the bottom half of the Ligue 1 table. The striker left Olympique de Marseille last summer, and while he still has three years left on his current deal at the Stade du Moustoir, there may yet be further approaches for his services over the coming weeks and months.
