The rampant influx of lunatic men and women is hampering the delivery of quality education at the compound of the All Saints Anglican Basic School in Takoradi.
The lives of pupils and teachers of the school continue to be under constant harassment from these lunatics who very often come into the classrooms either with sticks, cutlasses or stones threatening harm.
Miss Justina Mensah, a class six pupil of the school, told Ghana News Agency that sometimes, some mad men even come into the classrooms naked and make sexual gestures at pupils and female teachers.
Mrs Flora Kwafo, a teacher said: “One day we were in class when a big and tall mad man came to stand at the entrance of class two, naked and started commanding us to come.”
She said but for the timely intervention of a sportsman; she would have been hit with a nail pointed stick one afternoon.
Mrs Margaret Donkor also a teacher said one of the lunatics rushed in during one of their lessons and spat around.
She said this life threatening situations are experienced virtually on a daily basis and this is gradually destroying the environment for conducive studies.
Ms Leticia Kwofie, Headmistress of the school said drivers of long vehicles are parking their vehicles on the school’s compound, whiles scrap dealers have taken portions for their trading activities.
She said the ventilation around the school has also been hampered due to the numerous container shops placed all around the school.
