A founding member of the New Patriotic Party [NPP], Dr. Kwame Amoako-Tuffour is accusing the ruling National Democratic Congress [NDC] of influencing some key members of the NPP with money to misbehave.

According to him, the bad publicity the NPP is earning now is as a result of the NDC’s manipulation of certain members of the elephant fraternity in recent times – “They are buying some cars and sending some to Italy and all”

“They [National Democratic Congress, NDC] are in power so using their money to influence some of our members but the rest of us will stay and fight on for victory,” he said. 

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show Ghana Mo Tie Dr. Amoako-Tuffour opined that the aim of their destructors is to cause division in the NPP, but – “We won’t allow that to happen”.

Commenting on the recent Steering Committee meeting which was boycotted by some leaders of the party – he advised the party’s National Chairman, Paul Afoko and General Secretary Kwabena Agyapong to be “humble” in their style of management.

“They [Paul and Kwabena] should ask themselves why party members are not responding to their directives. That arrogance must stop,” he told host Kwasi Aboagye.

He however maintain that – “There is no division in the NPP, it’s just arguments”.
