Competence yields better results and for President Mahama to surround himself with “loud mouths” instead of enriching his close circles with competent people, has accounted for the inadequate development we see in Ghana, Divine Nkrumah has observed.

The latter’s latest outburst on President Mahama stems from his decision to attend an Expo in Milan with Madam Akua Donkor in his company.

The flagbearer of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Madam Akua Donkor, was part of the official Ghana delegation to the Milan Expo that were to woo Italian investors to Ghana.

In an interview with Divine Nkrumah, he explained to Peacefmonline.com that it amuses him the National Democratic Congress led by President Mahama have decided to use an “appendage” like Akua Donkor to run a serious business like governance.

He further attacked the Electoral Commission of Ghana for awarding certificates to “anybody” who wants to establish a political party.

According to him if the EC should go by their strict rules, they would have denied political parties like the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) and United Progressive Party led by Akua Donkor and Akwasi Addai Odike  respectively when they came for certificates.

He claims such shallow political parties don’t meet most of the requirements the EC expects parties to meet before they can operate as a political unit.
