Alhaji Dori Commends Bawku Muslims For Donating To Prison Inmates On Eid Day

As part of its cooperate social responsibilities, the Ansarul Islam a network of Muslims from Bawku, Pusiga, Zebilla, Garu, Widana and Kulungungu during the occasion showed love to inmates at the Bawku prisons by donating assorted items to support them.

The items include 2 bags of rice, cooking oil, used cloths, ablution cans, praying mats and cooked food all valued at Ghc 1,100.

Chairman of Ansarul Islam, Ustarz Umar advised the inmates not to consider their current state as a curse but to reform after serving their sentence and must learn to be obedient and law abiding.

“I must say with the greatest joy that this gesture is worthy of emulation as It is my hope that several other Muslim communities will follow suit.

As muslims, We must not always be on the receiving end but givers too no matter how little it is as our religion teaches us”, Alhaji Dori said.

The Ansural Islam during the occasion appealed for support for renovation and completion of expansion works at the Bawku Central Mosque.

Officer In -Charge of the Bawku prison, Superintendent Peprah Mensah Kwedwo thanked Ansarul Islam for the gesture and called on other benevolent persons and organizations to assist by donating to the prisons.
