Division One clubs will begin the fight for promotional tickets to the top flight on 16 August according to the Division One League. Twelve clubs have been placed in three Groups of four each and will engage each other in the Group to determine the winners after three round of matches.
Zone One which comprises three former premiership clubs; Great Olympics, Okwahu United and Real Sportive play in Cape-Coast together with Tudu Mighty Jets. In zone Two; Gold Stars, New Edubiase United will be joined by Tarkwa United and Ebusua Dwarfs.
Zone three has Guan United, Universal Stars, Bechem United and Aduana Stars. In a related develepment; Tarkwa United nicked a 1-0 win over Ebusua Dwarfs to qualify for the National Middle League on Wednesday after several postponements. The only goal of the match was scored on the 90th minute mark to enable them cement their place in the play-offs.
