AUDIO: Ive A Devil In Me- Mahamas Gunman Declares

The wait is over; the gunman, who took the entire nation by storm by threatening to kill President Mahama, has finally broken his silence and revealed his source of motivation.

“There is a devil in me and until, I become the president, it wouldn’t stop pursuing me”- these were the chilling words of Charles Antwi as officials of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) engaged him in an interview.

Charles Antwi is to serve 10 years in prison and this was a punishment slapped on him by an Accra Circuit Court after he was cited wielding a locally manufactured pistol at the Ringway Gospel Centre Assemblies of God- the same place President Mahama worships.

Asked by the BNI officials where he purchased the gun, he sharply told them he bought it from a Burkinabe trader. His reason for acquiring the weapon was that he had heard that the Electoral Commission had cancelled electoral results and had been informed someone rigged an election.

Charles wasn’t able to specify the particular election he was talking about and quickly changed the subject by telling the investigators that thieves robbed him off his dollars in Kumasi.

Rather incoherently, he then switched lanes and talked about the beef he has with President Mahama. He claims he should have been Ghana’s president after the late former president John Evans Atta Mills passed on and got infuriated when he learnt President Mahama was to be his successor.

The flow of his narration is inconsistent. Kindly listen to the audio attached
