Nii Noi Is Never A Threat To Me Philip Addison

Lawyer Philip Addison says political contender, Valentino Nii Noi Nortey as someone who is never a threat to his ambition of becoming a Parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Klottey Korle constituency.

His comment follows the dismissal of an injunction filed by six persons to demand the disqualification of Nii Noi Nortey whom they accused of filing fake documents.

“I have heard of the court decision and I welcome it…I am ready for the elections, I have never seen him [Nii Noi] as a threat…,” he said on Asempa FM.

An Accra High Court struck out an application filed by six supporters of the NPP seeking an injunction on the Klottey Korle constituency parliamentary primary of the party.

Six persons, Juliana Briandt, George Attor Williams, Mary Crentsil, Ebenezer Acquah, Michael Nana Nkansah and Edward Quansah had gone to the court to, among others seek the declaration of Nii Noi Nortey as unfit to contest the crucial polls.

They claimed he presented a fake certificate to the vetting committee of the party.

Many have accused Lawyer Philip Addison of scheming to get Nii Nortey disqualified to pave way for him to become the party’s parliamentary candidate for the 2016 election.

An accusation which the Lawyer described as false adding that he has failed to understand why people are always accused of being pushed to undertake an action.

“That’s false…these are individual people who have taken their own decision…[why is it that] in this country nobody does anything by himself…?,” he quizzed.

The Lead counsel for the NPP in the 2012 Supreme Court election petition said he was convinced he would win the seat with or without Nii Noi contesting.

“I will not say the margin by which I will win but when the election time comes, we would see the results…,” he said.
