Ghanaian female Afro-pop musician, Noella Wiyaala, known on stage as Wiyaala has revealed most female musicians are not A-listers artistes because they are lazy.

“Let’s be strong and daring and stop being lazy, it’s just laziness,” she said.

Speaking on the perception that the Ghana Music Industry is a male dominated one, she said, "It’s not a male dominated industry, I think it is simply a mentality but when it comes to business that is where I say we have equal opportunities so we, women should stop complaining.”

“We are given the opportunities but we are not daring enough, we seem to be comfortable with being at the back, that is one thing I have observed,” she noted.

The awarding winning singer added, most ladies rely on beauty to promote their career instead of working hard.

Wiyaala was adjudged Best Female Vocal Performer at the 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
