Chelsea Agree 18 Million Fee For Baba Rahman

According to reports in Germany, Chelsea and Augsburg have agreed a fee of about 18 million pounds over the transfer of Ghanaian left-back Baba Abdul Rahman.

The two teams had been talking about the deal but Felipe Luis’ return to Atletico Madrid seems to have pushed Chelsea to quickly tie up the deal for the player.

Italian journalist Gianluca DiMarzio had revealed a few weeks back that Rahman and Chelsea had come to an agreement over personal terms.

Chelsea looked set to go for Galatasaray’s left-back Alex Telles but from the look of things, they look to have found their target.

Rahman’s performances from last season caught the attention of some top European teams including Chelsea and if the reports are anything to by, Jose Mourinho will be getting his desired target especially he has stated that he would like to deploy Branislav Ivanovic as a centre-back and Cesar Azpilicueta as a right-back.

Chelsea will start their 2015/2016 Barclays Premier League campaign at home against Swansea on the 8th of August
