Korle Klottey NPP Primary Was A Sham And Shameful - Philip Addison

Accra-based Lawyer, Philip Addison, who lost in his bid to become the NPP’s 2016 Parliamentary candidate for the Korle Klottey Constituency in the Greater Accra Region has described the elections as a “sham” and “shameful”.

He alleged that, some national executives of the party, namely; the national chairman, Paul Akofo and general secretary, Kwabena Agyapong – “Had already arranged for the winner of the election before the election day which was not even set”.

“It was a one sided elections. It’s very shameful. The election was to come off on August 8, 2015,” he added.

Lawyer Phlip Addison polled some 22 votes as against his main competitor Nii Nortey who polled 393 votes in Sunday’s primaries to win the Korle Klottey seat - the other contestant, Adjei Tawiah, had some 19 votes.

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show "Ghana Montie", the NPP’s election petition lawyer noted that despite the orchestrated elections to favour one candidate; “I am not sad. If I had taken part in the elections and lost, then I would have felt the pains”.

He also explained his 22 votes – “I don’t know where that is coming from because I was not part of the elections”.

According to Philip Addison; “I will consult some elders in the party and will let the public know my next action”.
