I Am Not Aware National Security Is In Control At Mahamas Church Church's PRO

The Public Relations Officer at the Ringway Gospel Centre of the Assemblies of God, where President Mahama fellowship’s, Deacon Boateng Sarpong has refute claims making headlines in the media that – “National Security is in control at Mahama’s church” week after an attempted assassination.

“I am not aware that the national security is guarding our church [the president’s church],” he said.

According to reports, National Security operatives have taken over security arrangements at the Ringway Gospel Centre of the Assemblies of God, where President Mahama fellowships with his family.

Deacon Boateng Sarpong was quoted that - “the issue is being handled by the national security, and I know they were here yesterday. We have left them to handle this situation.”

But speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show,  the deacon reversed his earlier assertion – “I never said national security is guarding the church. There were so many people at the church yesterday [Sunday]. We never spotted armed security personnel at the church premises”.

“The president [John Dramani Mahama] was not at church yesterday so the security wasn’t present,” he added.

Last week, Charles Antwi stormed the president’s church premises with the intent of assassinating the first gentleman of the land – but he was arrested and subsequently put before court and jailed 10 years.

Many have blamed the national security of poor surveillance but Deacon Boateng Sarpong has insisted that – “Charles Antwi was arrested by the 'Holy Spirit'...His issue might win more souls for Christ”.
