Juventus Drop Kwadwo Asamoah For Super Cup Clash Against Lazio

Juventus set off for Shanghai where theyll play the Italian Super Cup against Lazio on Saturday, with a squad that excludes Ghanaian international Kwadwo Asamoah. The Bianconeri only returned last night from a 2-0 friendly defeat to Olympique Marseille and were given most of the day off to rest. They flew out last night, stopping via Paris to reach Shanghai, where Lazio have already been for a couple of days. Asamoah is yet to make a playing appearance for Juventus this pre-season as he continues a fitness regime in recovery from a long injury lay-off. Though he made a return to the first team at the end of last season after his recovery from knee surgery, the talented midfielder who plays in defence for the Bianconeri has not been named in any of Allegri's preseason squads, casting doubts over his future at the club. Giorgio Chiellini and Sami Khedira miss out due to muscular injuries, but Fernando Llorente has recovered from an ankle knock. Barzagli had been ruled out for three weeks by a thigh problem, but is included in the travelling party in the hopes of making a lightning quick recovery. There is still no news on how bad Khediras hamstring strain is, as a statement only said his condition will be evaluated over the next few days.
