Outspoken NPP Member of parliament for Assin Central in the Central region, Kennedy Agyapong, weeks ago accused some executives of his party’s UK branch of leaking tapes meant to tarnish the party’s image.

The Member of Parliament was emphatic on NEAT FM that – “all tapes from NPP crunch meetings are leaked by some NPP UK branch executives”.

He explained that those individuals intention is to create confusion in the elephant fraternity and again lessen Nana Addo’s chances of winning the next presidential elections.

But his claims has been refuted by the Communications Director of the NPP UK branch, Nana Yaw Sarpong who described Kennedy Agyapong’s accusations as unfortunate.

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show "Ghana Montie", Nana Yaw Sarpong opined that; “Whoever is giving him [Kennedy Agyapong] the information is misleading him. He is a fine gentleman and great person of our party. We in the UK hold him in high esteem but his claims are unfortunate”.

“NPP UK branch are not responsible for NPP leaked tapes,” he added.
