VIDEO: I Sacrificed My Life & Career For The NDC- Abeiku Santana

Prior to the 2012 general elections, he was seen on national television campaigning for President John Dramani Mahama in Kumasi and within the next few hours, he was back in Accra hosting his late afternoon show on Okay FM.

Knowing the consequence of accepting this gamble, many would have prayed Abeiku Santana turned down the offer of joining any political party’s campaign trail considering the fact that such a move could drive away some of his ardent listeners and tensed up the air around him for life. But bold as he is, Abeiku Santa reveals he had to step out from his shells and display his true political colours.

The aspiring Member of Parliament for the Mfansteman constituency stated on Okay FM that he had to sacrifice his life and career for the National Democratic Congress to be retained in power.

It was the right moment for us to see a change in government and I had to sacrifice my life and career to effect that change that we needed”, he said.

He also acknowledged seasoned journalists like Messrs Kwesi Pratt Jnr and Malik Kweku Baako Jnr for being pace setters any media practitioner with plans of entering politics could look up to. According to him the two personalities have always kept an objective and fair stance when it comes to discussing national issues and have openly supported the Convention People’s Party over the years.

Kwesi Pratt and Kweku Baako have both worked as Directors of Communications for the CPP before… the fact that they are journalists and they belong to a political party doesn’t mean they can't have an objective mind to give an objective view over issues”, he said.

He therefore called on Ghanaians and especially his listeners to keep faith in him and count on him to always deliver fairness in whatever he does.
