VIDEO: Kojo Oppong Nkrumah & Abeiku Santana 'Fight' Over Woyome

At the mention of Woyome, two close friends became foes.

Two ace broadcasters aiming to be sworn in as parliamentarians in the near future put friendship aside and engaged the ears of listeners in a heated and lengthy debate over monies paid to Alfred Agbesi Woyome as judgment debt.

Mr. Woyome was charged with two counts of causing financial loss to the state and defrauding by false pretence after he was accused of illegally receiving 51 million Ghana Cedis in 2010 for his role in the construction of stadia for the CAN 2008 tournament held in Ghana.

Mr. Oppong Nkrumah, the New Patriotic Party’s elected parliamentary candidate for Ofoase Ayirebi described the National Democratic Congress’ decision to pay that lump sum of money to Mr. Woyome as one that smacks of corruption.

But host of Okay FM’s ‘EKWANSO DWOODWOO’ Abeiku Santana sharply disagreed with Kojo Oppong Nkrumah for claiming that throughout Ghana’s history, he has never seen the current level of retrogression and corruption we were experiencing.

Abeiku Santana began his argument by warning Mr. Oppong Nkrumah not step on the toes of the NDC by accusing them of paying illegal judgment debt to Mr. Woyome. According to Abeiku Santana, issues of judgment debt payments were delicate to discuss and truly believes the NPP would be found wanting if the entire story of Woyome’s deal is told.

He inquired from Kojo Oppong Nkrumah if he was ready to talk about the ‘questionable’ judgment debt his flagbearer, Nana Akufo Addo secured for a client during the era of the NPP. Despite Santana’s call, Oppong Nkrumah refused to give up that the state connived with Woyome’s to pay him that amount of money.
