Doctors Shouldnt Succumb To NPP's Pressures To Do Their Bidding- Yamoah Ponkoh

Former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ejisu-Juaben in the Ashanti region, Mr. Yamoah Ponkor believes the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) is being influenced by the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He explained that the opposition NPP has lost its relevance in the country after its hope on the energy crisis to continue to make President Mahama unpopular failed, coupled with the infrastructural development by the NDC government.

Speaking on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Mr. Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh is certain the desperation and pressure of the opposition NPP to win the 2016 elections is why the party has teamed up with the doctors and other labor forces to frustrate the Mahama-led administration.

He assured President Mahama is focused and unrelenting to fulfill all his promises to Ghanaians; adding the 2016 election is a done deal for the NDC government with the innumerous projects President Mahama has initiated within such a relatively short period of time.

“We know what the NPP people are doing to win power; they are desperate to win power and they will do anything to make it happen but I want to assure them that their plans will not work because Ghanaians know what the President is doing and they will surely vote again for President Mahama, I am telling you”, he assured.

He however pleaded with the doctors to return to their duty post, urging them not to trade their profession and intelligence for the selfish interest of the opposition NPP to punish Ghanaians.

“I know Dr. Serebuor very well; he is a good man and very intelligent doctor but please don’t succumb to the pressures of the NPP. We know what the NPP are doing but please tell your colleagues not to give in their [NPP] demands”, he pleaded.
