Raymond Archer To Be Sued

The editor In-chief of the Enquirer newspaper, Mr. Raymond Archer, has been accused by a New Patriotic Party (NPP) activist, Mr. John Boadu of putting him and his familys life in danger. Mr. John Boadu, on Peace FM described Mr. Archer as a funny man and asked him to reverse the statement publicly or else he would be sued. Thank God that you see me as a rich man but reverse it, because youre putting my life in danger he said. Mr. Archer was reported to have alleged on Radio Gold, an Accra-based radio station, that armed rubbers attacked John Boadu in his house and took away his money worth GH200,000 (2Billion). It was this allegation that Mr. Boadu interpreted as telling the public and armed rubbers that he keeps money at home so they should come and attack him. He described it as exposing him to danger. Mr. Archer, who tried to defend his statement, disclosed that he read the story from a different newspaper and so was not going to apologize. He related his allegation to the Alliance For Accountable Governance (AFAG) demonstration, saying Mr. Boadu is a hypocrite, because he has such money in his coffers yet he joined the supposed needy ones to demonstrate against the government. But Mr. Boadu dismissed the allegation, stating I dont have such money ". He added that if he had that amount of money, he would have joined the demonstration, because many others are suffering.
