We Approve Over 50% Ghanaian Visa Requests British High Commissioner

The British High Commissioner to Ghana, Jon Benjamin has revealed that over 50 percent of visa applications to the United Kingdom are approved. According to Jon Benjamin, the process of application for visas to the UK has not changed massively over the years although a few of the procedures have been tightened. There is a question about student visas which has been tightened recently, mostly because we have had a problem in the UK with bogus colleges so there is a greater checking process than there was before, he said on the Citi Breakfast Show. The basic overall fact is that in Ghana we approve more visa applications than we reject so the approval rate is over 50 and has been consistently in recent times. He was responding to complaints from Ghanaians who have lamented over the process of applying for a visa to the UK, describing it as tedious. Mr. Benjamin warned Ghanaians against trusting middle-men who claim they can get them visas to the UK if they are paid some money. There are some middle-men who say if you pay them money allegedly they can help to smooth the process and get you a visa. From our point of view, I can only say to people not to waste their money. Thats absolutely not true,he said These self-appointed middlemen have no influence over the decision we take an people should be very wary about accepting any promises from them.
