Hearts of Oak To Officially File Protest Against Kotoko On Monday

Accra Hearts of Oak will officially lodge a protest against arch rivals Asante Kotoko on Monday. Ghanasortsonline.com can exclusively reveal. The Rainbow Club are planning to file a protest against the Ghanaian Champions for using striker Obed Owusu in their epic clash last Sunday. According to Hearts, Obed Owusu was ineligible to feature in the game the Phobians lost 1-2 at home after claiming the player picked up three yellow cards prior to the super clash at the Accra Sports Stadium. Kotoko on the other hand claim the striker had already served his suspension after excluding him from the team�s Elite Cup match against Dunkwa United claiming the game was an FA sanction competition. Ghanasportsonline.com sources at the Club have however revealed that the Rainbow Club will file a complaint to the disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association to look into the matter. Kotoko could have their points deducted should they be found culpable to charge by their sworn rivals. Hearts are struggling to escape relegation after securing 32 points in 26 League matches, while Kotoko keep up the chase for a top 4 finish after managing 38 points lying on the fifth position on the League table.
